CE     - A large group of operators will be active as CE1Z from Punta  Tetas
         Lighthouse (ARLHS CHI-075) during  the  South  American  Lighthouse
         Weekend on 25-27 February. They plan to be QRV on 160, 80, 40,  20,
         17, 15 and 10 metres SSB. QSL via CE1WNR. [TNX NG3K]
CN     - Ron, W3PV will be active as CN2PV  from  Rabat,  Morocco  from  now
         until 1 May. He will be QRV mostly on 40 metres CW, but  will  also
         operate other bands when open. QSL  via  W3PV,  direct  or  bureau.

CY0    - "Although the two previous  attempts  to  access  the  island  were
         unsuccessful,  the  team  is  eagerly  looking  forward  to   March
         anticipating  improved  weather,  propagation  and  a    successful
         landing", Randy, N0TG says. "We are pleased to  note  that  routine
         supply flights to Sable for the small  staff  on  the  island  have
         been successful and on schedule during January.    Hopefully,  this
         will be a continuing trend of  improved  flight  conditions  as  we
         count down to an early March operation.   Most  of  the  DXpedition
         equipment and  supplies  are  stored  in  the  aircraft  hanger  in
         Halifax, Canada, ready to be loaded onto  the  aircraft".  Bookmark

HB9    - The club of the Radio Amateurs Vaudois  (HB9MM)  has  been  granted
         permission to use the antennas at the former broadcast  transmitter
         in Sottens and will be active as HE3OM until the end  of  February.
         The "big" (188m high) antenna is used on 160,  80  and  40m,  while
         the "small" one (125m high) is used on 137  kHz.  QSL  via  HB9TOB.

HI     - Look for HI2RCD to operate SSB from  Isla  Saona  (NA-122)  for  24
         hours starting around 14  UTC  on  5  February.  Planned  operating
         frequencies are 28400, 21285, 18135,  14205,  7155  and  3785  kHz.

HP     - Look for Kai, HP1/DL2BP and Swen, HP1/DJ2ST to be active  on  80-10
         metres from Contadora Island (NA-072) on 6-17  February.  QSL  both
         calls via DL2BP. [TNX DX World]
IS0    - Special  stations  II0IDP from Cagliari (EU-024,  QSL  via  IS0IGV)
         and II0ICH from La  Maddalena  (EU-041,  QSL  via  IM0QMA)  -  both
         representing former coast radio stations  of  the  Italian  Navy  -
         will be active on 5-20 March  for  the  5th  Italian  Navy  Coastal
         Radio Stations Award (www.assoradiomarinai.it). [TNX IS0JMA]
J3     - Bill, K4LTA and his wife Ruby, K4UPS will be active  as  J37BO  and
         J37RO  from  Grenada  between  9  February  and  10  March.    Bill
         participate in the ARRL DX Contest as J38A.  QSL  via  home  calls.

J3     - Roy, KE4TG will be active as J38RF from Grenada between 9  February
         and 10 March, with a focus on  the  digital  modes.  QSL  via  home

J6     - Volkmar, DF2SS and Marc, DL1VKE will  be  active  as  J6/DF2SS  and
         J6/DL1VKE from St. Lucia (NA-108) on 5-17 February.  They  plan  to
         operate CW, RTTY and SSB on all bands with two stations. [TNX DXNL]
PY     - PU7RLM, PY7GK, PY7LZ, PY7VI, PY7XC and  PY7ZY  will  be  active  as
         PY7CRA from Itamaraca Island (SA-046) on 11-13 February. They  plan
         to have two stations active on 40-10 metres  SSB  and  CW.  QSL  to

V2     - Dave W9DR (V25DR), Tom W9AEB (V25TP) and Dave K9UK (V25DD) will  be
         active holiday style from Antigua (NA-100) on  14-28  June.  Expect
         V25DR to concentrate on 6 metres SSB  and  CW  (50115  kHz),  while
         V25DD and V25TP will operate SSB, CW and  PSK31  on  80-10  metres.

V3     - Torsten, DG7RO will  be  active  as  V31TF  from  Belize  on  11-27
         February. He will operate holiday style mainly RTTY and  SSB,  with
         some CW and SSTV on 160-10 metres. QSL via  home  call,  direct  or

VE     - John, VE8EV and Gerry, VE8GER are planning an  IOTA  DXpedition  to
         Tent Island (NA-193, tentative callsign XK1T). John says  they  are
         "targeting 5-7 days in late April over  the  Easter  holidays  with
         the final dates to be picked at the  end  of  March  to  avoid  any
         forecast  unsettled  geomagnetic  conditions".  It  will    be    a
         "high-power/yagi operation, mostly  20m,  mostly  SSB  (but  likely
         more CW than  previous  trips)".  Donations  can  be  made  through

VK     - Andrey, VK5MAV will be active  as  VK5MAV/5  from  Kangaroo  Island
         (OC-139) on 15-21 February. He will operate  holiday  style  mainly
         CW on 20 and 40 metres (on or around 14012 and 7012 kHz), with  100
         watts, a 2-element vertical phased on  40m  and  a  G5RV.  QSL  via

W      - Pete, VE3IKV will be active as VX3X/W4 from Key  West  (NA-062)  on
         6-18 March. He will operate mainly CW with some SSB on 17,  12  and
         10 metres. He will look for Europe  around  12  UTC  and  for  Asia

ZF     - John, K6AM  will  be  active  as  ZF2AM  from  the  Cayman  Islands
         (NA-016) "for two weeks" in  February,  including  entries  in  the
         ARRL DX CW Contest (19-20 February) and  in  the  CQ  WW  160m  SSB
         Contest (25-27 February). Outside  the  contests  he  will  operate
         some SSB as time allows. QSL via K6AM (direct or bureau) and  LoTW.

AF-068 POSTPONED ---> The 1-5 February  IOTA  operation  from  Herne  Island
(AF-068) [425DXN 1029] has been postponed until  September.  On  27  January
the team was travelling to reach Dakhla, when a wheel broke  and  their  car
was turned upside down. Leo, I8LWL (5C2L) suffered a fractured shoulder  and
a slight head injury, and was hospitalized in Marrakech. He went  back  home
on 31 January. The other team members are in  good  health;  5C2J  (QSL  via
IK7JWX) will operate from Moroccan mainland until 7 February. [TNX IK7JWX]

FT5XT ---> Gildas, TU5KG was unexpectedly active for a couple  of  hours  on
20 metres SSB from Kerguelen on  2  February.  QSL  via  F4EFI.  He  usually
operates from a fishing boat while sailing in  Southern  Indian  Ocean  from
the waters around Crozet (FT5WQ/mm) and Kerguelen (FT5XT/mm).

IOTA BASH ---> The seventh annual IOTA Bash will be held on 11-12  March  in
Boerne, Texas, about 20 miles northwest of  San  Antonio.  The  agenda  will
include presentations on some of the most  recent  IOTA  expeditions  and  a
nice social programme. Details and registration form are  available  on  the

16TH IOTA DINNER ---> The 16th Annual Islands On The Air (IOTA) Dinner  will
be held on Friday, 15 April 2011, at the Holiday Inn  Hotel  and  Conference
Center, in  conjunction  with  the  62nd  annual  Visalia  International  DX
Convention (http://dxconvention.org/). For additional information  regarding

Kiritimati, Estern Kiribati (28 September-26 October)  "goes  from  strength
to strength, with all  the  latest  news.  For  example,  you  can  look  at
predicted propagation, make a donation via  PayPal  and  other  means,  read
about  the  island,  and  much  more.  At  this  time,    though,  we  would
particularly urge everyone to  complete  the  survey  of  wanted  bands  and
modes, which will help us in planning  our  operating  schedule".  Read  the
