7P     - Lars, DM5LS will be active as 7P8LS from Lesotho on 7-12 March.  He
         will be QRV on 160, 30, 17 and 12 metres. QSL via DM5LS,  direct or

A3     - Nobuaki, JA0JHQ  (http://pandasan.jimdo.com/)  will  be  active  as
         A35JR from Tongatapu (OC-049), Tonga on 12-16  March.  He  will  be
         QRV 30-10 metres CW and SSB. QSL via JA0JHQ, bureau (preferred)  or
         direct.
C3     - Amateur radio operators in Andorra are using the C35  prefix  (e.g.
         C35KC for C31KC, C35RP for C31RP) until 31  May  to  celebrate  the
         35th  anniversary  of  the  local  IARU  Society,  the   Unio    de
         Radioaficionats Andorrans. Information on the  relevant  award  can
         be found at www.ura.ad.
E3     - The "Eritrea Project 2015" team [425DXN 1243] arrived in Asmara on
         6 March at 3 local time. They will be QRV as E30FB until the 17th,
         with an initial focus on 15, 20, 30 and  40 metres CW,  as well as
         on 12 and 17 metres SSB.  Other bands will follow.  QSL via M0URX.

E5_nc  - Joe, LA5UF is active as E51UFF from Manihiki (OC-014),  North  Cook
         Islands until 17 March. He runs low power into  wire  antennas;  CW
         and PSK31 are his preferred modes. QSL via LA5UF (direct only).
E5_sc  - Nick, ZL1IU will be active holiday style as E51IOU  from  Rarotonga
         (OC-013), South Cook Islands on  9-21  March.  QSL  via  home  call
         (direct).
FY     - Chris, F4GHW will be active as TO5BR  on 10-23 March  to  celebrate
         the Carnival of French Guiana. QSL via F4GHW. [TNX DX World]
HS     - A team of  eight  will  be  active  as  E20HHK/p  from  Maeo Island
         (AS-145) on 13-15 March. They will operate CW (E20HHK,  HS3NBR  and
         HS4RAY) and SSB (E22WWZ, HS0FVS,  HS7BHK,  HS8GLR  and  HS9ZKE)  on
         most bands around the usual IOTA frequencies. QSL via E20HHK.
I      - The Barivm DX Team is using special callsign IY7M until 31  August.
         The first short-distance public service of wireless telegraphy  was
         established  by  the  Marconi  Company  across  the  Adriatic  Sea,
         between Bari in Italy and Antivari (Bar)  in  Montenegro.  QSL  via

IS0    - Special stations II0ICH from La Maddalena (EU-041, QSL via  IM0QMA,
         OQRS on Club  Log)  and  II0IDP  from  Cagliari  (EU-024,  QSL  via
         IS0IGV) - both representing former  coast  radio  stations  of  the
         Italian Navy - will be active on 7-22 March  for  the  9th  Italian
         Navy Coastal Radio Stations Award  (www.assoradiomarinai.it).  [TNX

JD1_oga- Nobuaki, JA0JHQ will be active  again  as  JD1BOW  from  Chichijima
         (AS-031), Ogasawara on 28-31 March. Main activity will  take  place
         during the CQ WW  WPX  SSB  Contest;  after  the  contest  he  will
         operate mainly CW. QSL via JA0JHQ, direct or bureau.
PY     - Special  event  station  PQ450RIO  is  active  until  31  March  to
         celebrate the 450th anniversary of the city of Rio de Janeiro.  All
         of the QSOs will be confirmed automatically via the bureau;  direct
         cards should be sent to PY1AA  (Liga  de  Amadores  Brasileiros  de
         Radio Emissao, Caixa Postal 58, Rio de  Janeiro  -  RJ,  20010-974,
         Brazil).  Information  on  the  relevant  award  can  be  found  at
         www.labre-rj.org.br.
SM     - The Swedish Amateur Radio Society's Sixth  District  is  active  as
         7S90IARU until 31 August to celebrate the 90th anniversary  of  the
         International Amateur Radio Union. QSL via  bureau,  or  direct  to

V6     - Kiichi, JF1LUT will be  active  as  V63KI  from  Pohnpei  (OC-010),
         Micronesia on 20-25 March.  He  will  operate  SSB  only  on  20-10
         metres. Logsearch on  Club  Log  and  QSL  direct  to  the  address
         published at www.qrz.com/db/V63KI.
VP8    - Arliss W7XU  (VP8DXU),  Holly  N0QJM  (VP8QJM)  and  Marshall  K5QE
         (VP8DQE) will be active as from the Falkland  Islands  (SA-002)  on
         16-26 March.  Look for VP8DQE on 2m EME, and  for some activity  on
         the HF bands by VP8QJM (20 and 30 metres RTTY) and VP8DXU (CW). QSL
         VP8DXU  and VP8QJM via W7XU, QSL VP8DQE via K5QE.
VP9    - Mike, G3VYI will be active as G3VYI/VP9 from  Bermuda  (NA-005)  on
         11-19 March. He  will  operate  CW  only  during  his  morning  and
         evening hours, with a focus on the low bands, and will  participate
         in the 24-hour RSGB  Commonwealth  (BERU)  Contest.  QSL  via  home

W      - Look for KG4JSZ to be active from North Hutchinson Island  (NA-141)
         for a few hours (13-18 UTC) on 13 March. QSL via  home  call.  [TNX

W      - Lou, W0FK will be active as W0FK/4 from Longboat  Key  (NA-034)  on
         15-30 March. QSL via home call, direct or  bureau  (email  requests

YU     - Serbian members of the  Serbian  CW  Club  are  authorized  to  use
         special prefixes YT45 and YU45 (e.g. YT45CW for  YT0CW  and  YU45CW
         for YU0CW) until the end of the year to celebrate the  Club's  45th
         anniversary.    The    stations    involved    are    listed     at
         www.qrz.com/db/YT45CW.
ZF     - Bob, K3UL will be active as ZF2UL from the Cayman Islands  (NA-016)
         on 14-20 March. QSL via home call. [TNX DX World]

9K2F ---> The 11-16 March  9K2F  activity  from  Faylakah  (AS-118)  [425DXN
1243]  has  been  cancelled  due  to  unforeseen  circumstances  beyond  the
operators' control.

AFRICA DX CONTEST  --->  The  inaugural  Africa  All-Mode  International  DX
Contest, hosted by the South African Radio League, will be held  from  12.00
UTC on 14 March to 12.00 UTC on the 15th.  The  objective  is  to  stimulate
contesting from Africa. All participating stations worldwide  may  work  any
country, but QSOs with African stations are awarded higher points.  Complete
information can be found at www.africadxcontest.org.

ARRL INTERNATIONAL DX CONTEST (SSB) ---> Object of the contest is  for  W/VE
amateurs to work as many stations in as many DXCC entities  as  possible  on
160, 80, 40, 20, 15, and  10  metre  bands,  while  foreign  amateurs  (also
including KH6, KL7, CY9 and CY0) work as many W/VE stations in  as  many  of
the 48 contiguous states and provinces as possible (complete  rules  can  be
found at www.arrl.org/arrl-dx). This year's event will run from  from  00.00
UTC on 7 March through 23.59 UTC on the 8th. Do not forget to  give  a  look
at  the  Announced  Operations  listing  maintained    by    Bill,  NG3K  at
www.ng3k.com/Misc/adxs2015.html - good contest to you all!

web site has been updated. Fifteen different galleries include 12,609  cards
for the ten Most  Wanted  DXCC  Entities  (2004-14),  the  61  deleted  DXCC
Entities, obsolete prefixes,  stations  from  Maghreb  from  1945  to  1962,
Allied Forces stations in Germany (1945-70), special stations  commemorating
ITU and IARU, Antarctic bases &  TAAF  (Terres  Australes  and  Antarctiques
Francaises), the various French DXCC island Entities in the  Pacific  Ocean,
the Indian Ocean and the Americas (from 1945 to 1970),  pre-1945  countries,
French Departments and CONUS, plus a  gallery  for  cards  not  accepted  by

V63CO ---> Taka, JA8COE reports that he had to cancel his  planned  activity
from Ulithi Atoll (OC-078) [425DXN 1243] "because my rig has broken".

YASME ---> The Board of Directors of the Yasme Foundation (www.yasme.org) is
pleased  to  announce  that it  has  elected  Ken Claerbout, K4ZW, and  Hans
Timmerman, PB2T, to the Board, effective with the forthcoming Annual Meeting
at Visalia, California.  This action brings the  number of Directors to nine
(K3ZO, K4ZW, N0AX, OH2BH, PB2T, W6BSY, W6OAT, W6RGG and W6SZN). [TNX W6SZN]

+ SILENT KEY + Louis van de Nadort, PA0LOU passed away on 28 February  after
a short illness. He was the Chairman of IARU Region 1  for  27  years  until
his retirement in 2002, and a member of  the  IARU  Administrative  Council.
Lou was also fond of CW contesting and DX chasing; he was DXCC #1 Mixed  and
Phone, and only needed North Korea on CW.
