         October  to 5  November, including  an  entry in the  CQ WW DX  SSB
         Contest. He will operate  SSB, some CW and  digital modes on  40-10

         collector, so he would like to receive your card even if you do not

         from Samoa (OC-097) on 21-27 September. He will operate CW, SSB and
         RTTY on 160-10 metres, with a focus on the low bands.  QSL via LoTW
         (preferred) or home call, direct or bureau.
5X     - Andy, DL3YM will  be active  again as  5X8B  from  Uganda  from  20
         September to 1 October. He will operate CW only in his spare  time.

8P     - Mitsu, JH4IFF and Aki, JH4CES will be active holiday style as 8P9JH
         from Barbados (NA-021)  on 3-9 November.  They will operate CW, SSB
         and RTTY  on  80-10 metres.  Aki will use  8P9IP during  the  IPARC
         Contest CW (5 November, 06-10 and 14-18 UTC)  and SSB  (6 November,
         same time), which is  the "top priority event"  for this trip.  QSL
         8P9JH and 8P9IP via JH4IFF, direct only. They are considering using

         Island  (SA-001) on  26-30 September.  He will operate SSB on  80-6

DL     - Stefan, DF8HS  will be  active  again from  Marienleuchte,  Fehmarn

         400th anniversary of  the death of  Miguel de Cervantes,  the great

JD1_mt - Take, JG8NQJ/JD1  had  to  leave  Minami  Torishima (OC-073)  on 31
         August, earlier than expected. Now active is operator Kakutani, who
         uses  the  Japan  Meteorological  Agency  club  station's  callsign
         (JD1YAA) and expects to remain on the island until mid-November. So
         far he has been  QRV on 17 and  12 metres SSB.  QSL via the bureau.

ON     - Taking part in the  celebrations for the  Lions Clubs International
         centennial, special callsign OR100LCI will  be active  from Belgium
         through  March 2017.  Activity will be on SSB,  CW and RTTY on  all

T7     - Three special stations will be active on 20, 15 and 40 metres  from
         the  Three  Towers  of  San Marino on  17-18 September: T71A (Torre
         Guaita), T71B (Torre Cesta) and  T71C (Torre del Montale).  Located
         on the three peaks of Monte Titano, the towers are depicted on both
         the flag and the  coat of arms of the  Republic of San Marino.  QSL

T8     - JA3JND will be active as T88ON from Koror (OC-009), Palau on  23-30
         September.  He will operate  CW, SSB, RTTY  (CQ WW DX RTTY  Contest

         bureau. Also active from Koror will be JA3KIO, who will operate SSB
         and CW as T88XA on 24-29 September (QSL via home call).
TF     - A team from  Cambridge University Wireless Society  will be QRV  as
         TF/homecall from the Westman Islands (EU-071) from around  16.00 on
         13 September to 06.00 on 16 September. Operators will include DK2AB
         (M0INN), G3ZAY, M0BLF,  M0VFC, M0WUT and M0ZXA.  Activity  will  be
         mainly  on  40-15 metres  SSB and  CW,  but  there may  be some  FM
         satellite activity as well.  QSL via  Club Log's OQRS  (do not send

VE    -  VY2PLH  is  a  special   callsign  dedicated  to   operations  from
         lighthouses on Prince Edward Island (NA-029).  Next  activity  will

W      - Wyatt, AC0RA and Dave, KG5CCI will be active as K6R from Santa Rosa
         (NA-144) in the  Channel Islands National Park on  16-18 September.
         "The primary focus of the expedition  will be to hand out the  very
         rare grid square (CM93) on Amateur Radio Satellites", they say, but
         "we will also take some time to make  terrestrial VHF/UHF  contacts
         with those in range, and spend  some time QRP on HF".  QSL via LoTW

XW     - Bruce, 3W3B (AA4XR) will be active again as XW4XR from Laos on 19-
         30 September. He will operate  RTTY, JT65 and CW on  80-10 metres.

         stations,  and to  participate  in the WAE  DX   SSB  Contest.  See

CE0X ---> Radio Club de Chile  reports that,  contrary to what announced  by
CE5WQO, no permission has been granted by the Chilean Navy for  an operation
to  take  place  from  San Felix  Island.  Read the  story  (in Spanish)  on

KC0W WORLDWIDE DXPEDITION ---> KC0W's  activity  from a  Top 25  Most Wanted
Entity [425DXN 1322] is not  going to  happen.  "Sorry for getting  anyone's
hopes up", Tom wrote on his qrz.com page on 9 September. "Never trust anyone
who claims to be 'military' and also claims  to have the authority  to allow
people to visit  KHx land.  Waste of my time, w aste of  my  money,  loss of
credibility. I was lead astray by the promise of tinsel & shiny lights. It's
now time  to  crawl  under  a rock  here in Fiji  until I  start the  T30COW
DXpedition" around 24 September.

ROUTE 66 ON THE AIR ---> Organized by the Citrus Belt ARC, the  17th  annual
Route 66 On The Air special event celebrates the  historic  US  Highway  66.
Twenty-one amateur radio stations using  1x1  callsigns  (from  W6A  through
W6U) will operate  from cities along the  "Mother Road"  on 10-18 September.

VK0EK LOG RECONCILIATION ---> The laptops used by VK0EK on Heard Island have
been reconciled with the master N1MM+ log, and more than 100 QSOs have  been
recovered.  The  majority were recovered  from a failed  laptop that did not
sync with the N1MM+ Master log.  Recovered QSOs have  been uploaded to  OQRS
(www.m0urx.com/oqrs/logsearch.php) as well as to LoTW .

+ SILENT KEY + Albert Durou, FO5JR  has recently passed away.  Born in 1928,
over the years he held the  callsigns F2DA, CN8MQ,  FA2DA (1957-1962), FG7AH
(1972-1977) and FO8JR (1982-1987). He was and Honorary President of the Club
Oceanien de Radio et Astronomie (FO8AA), and in 2014 the  Clipperton DX Club

ROUTE 66 ON THE AIR ---> Organized by the Citrus Belt ARC, the  17th  annual
Route 66 On The Air special event celebrates the  historic  US  Highway  66.
Twenty-one amateur radio stations using  1x1  callsigns  (from  W6A  through
W6U) will operate  from cities along the  "Mother Road"  on 10-18 September.

VK0EK LOG RECONCILIATION ---> The laptops used by VK0EK on Heard Island have
been reconciled with the master N1MM+ log, and more than 100 QSOs have  been
recovered.  The  majority were recovered  from a failed  laptop that did not
sync with the N1MM+ Master log.  Recovered QSOs have  been uploaded to  OQRS
(www.m0urx.com/oqrs/logsearch.php) as well as to LoTW .

YO9KXF/P ---> Dan, YO9FNP  and  Mihai, YO9BPX have been  active as  YO9KXF/p
from  Insula Fericirii  (EU-191)  since 6 September  for a few hours  a day.
Activity will end on 10 September. QSL direct only to YO9FNP.

+ SILENT KEY + Albert Durou, FO5JR  has recently passed away.  Born in 1928,
over the years he held the  callsigns F2DA, CN8MQ,  FA2DA (1957-1962), FG7AH
(1972-1977) and FO8JR (1982-1987). He was and Honorary President of the Club
Oceanien de Radio et Astronomie (FO8AA), and in 2014 the  Clipperton DX Club
