3C0    - 3C0V is the  callsign that DJ9ZB,  EA5FO, EA5BYP and  EA5YN will  be
          using during their operation from Annobon Island [425DXN 637].  Look
          for them to be active on all  bands and modes until 10 October.  QSL
          via DJ9ZB.
9A     - Dusan, S52DG will be active as  9A/S52DG/P from Krk Island  (EU-136,
          CI-046) on 2-5 October. QSL  via home call,  direct or bureau.  [TNX

9M     - In February-March  2004 Rich,  PA0RRS will  operate as  9M#/homecall
          from Malaysia as follows: on 6-9  February from Kuala Lumpur  (9M2),
          on 9-20 February from Keningau (OC-088) East Malaysia (9M6), from 20
          February to  2  March from  Penang  Island (9M2,  AS-015).  QSL  via

9M6     - Bob Schenck, N2OO  reports he will  be operating as  9M6OO from  the
          Hillview Gardens Resort station (http://www.qsl.net/9m6aac) from  19
          October to 13 November. QSL via N2OO.
BQ9_p   - The DXpedition to Pratas Island [425DXN 645] is on schedule and  the
          operators (namely BV3BW, BV3FG, BV4FH, DL3DXX, DK7YY, JI6KVR,  N2OO,
          OE1WHC and  ZL4PO) expect  to  start activity  around  10 UTC  on  7
          October and close down around 1 UTC on the 16th. They will have five
          stations active on all bands and modes. QSL via KU9C. Lee/ZL2AL  and
          Floyd/N5FG will be the pilot stations respectively for ZL/VK and the
          Eastern US. More  pilot stations  are needed  (please contact  Yuki,

DL     - Martin, DL1ZU reports he will operate as DL1ZU/p from Fehmarn Island
          (EU-128) on 18-26 October. He plans  to be QRV  on 10-80 metres  CW,
          RTTY and PSK.
F      - Created back in 1978 by Pierre Michel (F9AF, silent key since  1985)
          and his daughter Christiane  (F5SM), Ham-Expo has  been a REF  event
          (http://www.ref-union.org) since 1995. This  year's edition will  be
          held on  18-19  October  in  Auxerre,  and  to  celebrate  the  25th
          anniversary, as  well  as  in  memory  of  Pierre  Michel,  some  20
          operators will air  the special call  TM9AF on all  bands and  modes
          from 12 through 26 October, CQ  WW DX SSB Contest included. QSL  via
          F5SM, either  direct (Christiane  Michel, 1  rue de  l'Ocrerie,  Les
          Pilles, F-89240 Parly, France) or through the bureu. [TNX F5NQL]
FR/E    - Eight operators  are  expected  to  be  active  from  Europa  Island
          (AF-009) tentatively between 22 November and  4 December. They  plan
          to have three  stations on the  air on all  bands and  modes and  to
          participate in the CQ WW DX  CW Contest. However, dates are  subject
          to change owing to the international situation, as all the operators
          are military  personnel.  QSL  via  F5OGL.  Further  information  is

I      - Look  for  IA5/IK2YSE  (Max),   IA5/IZ2ABP  (Ezio)  and   IA5/IK2UKW
          (Claudio) to  be active  on 10-40  metres SSB  abd CW  from  Capraia
          Island (EU-028, IIA LI-020) on 26-28 September. All of the QSOs will
          be confirmed automatically via the bureau. [TNX IK2YSE]
I      - Nuccio/I7YKN,   Christine/I7OCD,    Marco/IZ7CDE,    Massimo/IK0RNR,
          Marisa/IK0ZSL and Gianfranco/IZ0BFK will be active as IG9L from  the
          Pelagie Islands (AF-019) on 5-11 October.  They plan to operate  (on
          40, 20,  15,  10 and  6  metres SSB  and  CW) from  the  islands  of
          Lampedusa (IIA AG-001), Lampione (AG-002)  and Conigli (AG-004),  as
          well as  from the  lighthouse at  Capo Grecale  (WAIL SI-020,  ARLHS
          ITA-025) on Lampedusa.  QSL via IZ7CDE  (Marco Fiore,  Via Bach  16,

IS0    - IS0MYN and others will participate in  the CQ WW  DX SSB Contest  as
          IS0A   (Multi-Multi)   from   Sardinia.   Further   information   at

KL      - Richard, AD5OZ will be active as KL7FBI from Shemya Island  (NA-037)
          on 8-14 October. He plans to operate mostly CW on 20-80 metres.  QSL

OH0    - Hadi, DJ2PJ will be active again as OH0JWH from his QTH on  Eckeroe,
          Aland Islands  (EU-002)  on 5-13  October.  This year  he  plans  to
          concentrate on PSK31, RTTY and SSTV. CW and SSB are intended to play
          a secondary  role,  but Hadi  will  check 160,  80,  and  40  metres

OH0    - Marko,   OH4JFN    reports   he    will    be   active    as    OH0Z
          (http://www.qsl.net/oh0z) from the Aland  Islands on 25-28  October,
          including a SOAB entry in the CQ WW DX SSB Contest. QSL via OH5DX.
P2      - The Daily DX reports that Kazuo, P29KM expects to be active (on  15,
          30 and 40 metres with 100 watts a dipoles) from Kavieng, New Ireland
          (OC-008) on  26-29 September.  QSL to  Dr. Kazuo  Miyamura,  1-50-12
          Kaji, Hakodate 041-0852, Japan.
PA     - Madeleine, PA3CUZ will be active from  Texel Island (EU-038) on  2-9

PJ4    - PJ4T (QSL via DL9NDS) is the call DL5NAM, DL9NDS and DL7NFK  [425DXN
          645] will be using during the CQ WW DX SSB Contest. Look for them to
          operate from Bonaire as PJ4/homecall on 16-26 October. QSL PJ4T  and

PY     - Julio, PP2BT will be active (on  10-80 metres CW  and SSB) as  PY9BT
          from Chapada dos Guimaraes, Mato Grosso  on 1-8 October. QSL  direct

SP      - Three special  event stations  will be  active from  Poland on  1-31
          October to celebrate Pope John Paul II's Silver Jubilee: HF8JP  (QSL
          via SP8QED, direct  or bureau), SN25JP  (QSL via  SP4GFG, direct  or
          bureau) and SR25JP (QSL via bureu to SP6KFA or direct via  qrz.com).

SP     - Special station HF650O  (www.hf650o.prv.pl) will  be operated  again
          from  1  October  through  31  December   to  celebrate  the   650th
          anniversary of the Polish city of Olsztyn. QSL via SQ4NR, bureau  or
          direct (Grzegorz Gawel, ul. Herdera 16/14, 10-691 Olsztyn,  Poland).

TI     - Harry/AC8G,  Ron/WA8LOW,   W8ILC/Ron,   Brian/KA7KUZ,   Kecko/TI5KD,
          Tony/VE3RZ,   Jorge/CX6VM,    Ed/K1EP,   Tom/ZP5AZL,    Juan/ZP5MAL,
          Dale/N3BNA and Dave/WT8R, will be manning  the TI5N contest  station
          as a multi-multi entry in the CQ WW DX SSB Contest (25-26  October).

          For a  day or  two  before and  after  the contest,  the  individual
          operators will be  signing TI5/homecall  as time  permits. Expect  a
          higher level of  CW and  other non  SSB modes  outside the  contest.
          Attention will also be directed to 6 metres and the WARC bands using
          various modes.  QSLs  for  the individual  QSOs  should  go  to  the
          callbook address unless  advised otherwise.  Please do  not mix  the
          contest QSLs with ones for the individual contacts. [TNX WT8R]
UA     - RA6AU, RA6AX and  UA6AGE will be  active as  UE6WAT and  homecalls/6
          from Tyuleniy Island  (not IOTA, RRA  RR18-01, RDA  DA-30) until  27
          September. [TNX UA6MF]
V2     - Once   again    Team    Antigua   will    activate    V26B    (visit
          http://www.frc-contest.org for  a complete  station description)  in
          the CQ WW DX SSB Contest as a Multi-Two entry. The operators will be
          Sam, WT3Q/V26B (QSL  via home call),  Ed, N2ED/V26EW  (QSL via  home
          call), Brian, N3OC/V26OC (QSL via home call), Mike, KA2AEV/V26R (QSL
          via home  call), Bill,  W2UDT/V26U (QSL  via home  call) and  a  few
          others who will announce their QSL routes when their V2 calls become
          finalized. They will  make special attempts  to be  active on  RTTY,
          PSK31, 160 metres, the WARC bands and 6 metres a few days before and
          after the contest, most likely starting on or about 22 October until

V5      - Vlado/ZS6MG and Emil/ZS6EGB will be active (on most of the HF  bands
          CW, SSB,  RTTY and  PSK) as  V5/ZS6MG and  V5/ZS6EGB (QSL  via  home
          calls) from Namibia on 23-27 October. They will operate from the QTH
          of Kosie, V51E  and will participate  in the  CQ WW  DX SSB  Contest
          using his call (QSL via ZS6MG). [TNX ZS6MG]
VE     - Wayne, K9YNF will be active as  K9YNF/VE9 from Deer Island  (NA-014)
          from 29 September  through 3  October. Look  for him  on +/-  14260,
          18128, 24950, 28460  and 28560  kHz. QSL  via home  call, direct  or

VK     - The 25-29  September  VI5BR operation  from  Baudin  Rocks  (OC-228)
          [425DXN 645]  has been  postponed for  the time  being. Two  of  the
          operators were unable to go and  the weather has  been very bad  for
          the last  week,  making landing  and  exiting the  rocks  difficult.
          Peter, VK3QI says  they hope to  put the operation  on later in  the
          next 6 months,  when the weather  is much better  and operators  are
          better placed to be available.
VK     - Mirek, VK6DXI (aka 7X0DX, 9V1XE and  9M8DX) reports he is  currently
          active as VK6DXI/4 from a remote area in central Queensland until 27
          October. He operates  from grid locator  QG48ih in  his spare  time,
          usually after 10 UTC, on HF and AO40. QSL via bureau to VK6DXI.
VK     - The Lockyer  Valley  Radio  Club  (http://www.lvrclub.org) will  be
          operating as VK4FRI from Fraser Island (OC-142) on 15-19 March 2004.
          They will be active  on all HF  bands using SSB,  CW, RTTY, PSK  and
          SSTV. QSL direct only to P.O. Box 101, Laidley, QLD 4341, Australia.

VP5     - WA2VYA, K2WB and N2VW will be  active as VP5/homecall (QSL via  home
          call) from Providenciales (NA-002), Turks & Caicos on 21-28 October,
          including a Muli-Multi  entry in the  CQ WW DX  SSB Contest as  VP5T
          (QSL via N2VW). Before and after  the contest they will  concentrate
          on CW and the WARC bands. [TNX NG3K]
VP9     - Sasi, 9V1SM  (VU3SNM)  will be  active  as VU3SNM/VP9  from  Bermuda
          (NA-005) on 18-27 October. This will be a business trip and most  of
          the operations (on 20-6 metres PSK31 and SSB) will be confined to  a
          few hours in his evening hours. QSL via W3HNK. [TNX 9V1SM]
YI     - Mike, YI/OM2DX will be using his new YI9X callsign during the  CQ/RJ
          WW RTTY Contest. QSL via OM3JW. [TNX OM3JW]
YJ      - Mike, KM9D (YJ0AMY)  and Jan, KF4TUG  have arrived  to Tegua  Island
          (OC-110), Vanuatu. Apparently  they are also  considering a trip  to
          Vanikoro (OC-163),  Temotu Province  (H40),  which lies  only  about
          100km north of their current position. [TNX WB6RSE]
ZL      - Sasi, 9V1SM (VU3SNM) reports  he will also  operate (on 20-6  metres
          PSK31 and SSB) as ZL/9V1SM/P from Christchurch (OC-134) and Auckland
          (OC-036), New Zealand between  27 September and  4 October. QSL  via
          W3HNK.

PACIFIC TRIP ---> T88ZX (SSB and CW) & T88UG (RTTY and PSK31) and V63ZT  (SSB
and CW) & V63UG (RTTY and PSK31) from Yap, Micronesia are the callsigns  Jim,
W7UG and Tom, K7ZZ will be using during their trip to Palau (OC-009) and  Yap
(OC-012), Micronesia [425DXN 643]. QSLs direct  to K7ZZ. Logs will be  placed

ANTARCTICA NET ---> The LU4DXU Antarctica  Net, which is held every  Saturday
at 19 UTC, has moved from 14300 kHz to 14290 kHz not to interfere with the US

EU SPRINT CONTESTS ---> The two Autumn events will  be held on 20, 40 and  80
metres only from 15.00 UTC until 18.59 UTC on 4 October (Autumn SSB,  managed
by I2UIY) and 11 October (Autumn CW,  managed by OK2FD). Full details can  be
