3D2_rot - Bob, W7YAQ (3D2NB) and Bill, N7OU (3D2OU) were expected to operate
           as 3D2RX and 3D3RO from Rotuma starting on 1 March [425DXN 769].
However, their flight has been cancelled and they are currently
stuck at Nadi (Fiji Islands). They have been told the next flight
to Rotuma is due to leave on 6 March. [TNX The Daily DX]
DU - A group of operators from the Philippines and Japan will be active
as DZ1JP on 10-12 March to celebrate the Philippine-Japan
Friendship Year, commemorating 50 years of diplomatic relations
between the two countries. This operation will concentrate on 160
metres and EME (on 6 and 2 metres). QSL via JA1HGY. [TNX DU1EV]
FR/G - In February 2005, an outbreak of chikungunya (a form of viral fever
spread by mosquitoes) was recorded on Reunion and around the 20% of
the residents have been hit by the virus, and with 77 deaths have
been associated to chikungunya. A conditional clearance to organize
the DXpedition to Glorioso (http://glorieuses2005.free.fr/) has
been given by the military HQ on Reunion. However, the current
health situation in the area (neither specific treatment nor
vaccine are currently available for chikungunya) advises the
organizers not to make the trip now, but to put off it until
           October or November. [TNX F5CQ]
JA - Look for Takeshi, JI3DST to operate as JI3DST/JS6 from Miyako
Island (AS-079) until around 7 UTC on 6 March. QSL via home call,
           preferably through the JARL bureau.
           [TNX JI3DST]
OH - Martti Laine, OH2BH will celebrate his 60th birthday later this
year, and the Finnish Telecom Authority has released OH60BH to be
used from March. Several interesting activities are planned for
this Jubilee year, including one more rare DX counter that will
hopefully serve as the actual venue for the party (ten years ago it
was the Republic of Nauru, C21BH) For the time being, look for
Martti to operate as V31BH from Belize, ARRL SSB Contest included.
           QSL via OH2BN. [TNX OH2BN]
P4 - Look for P40D (requested call) to be aired on all bands CW, SSB and
digital modes from Aruba (SA-036) on 6-16 March. QSL via WD9DZV.

P4 - Tom, W7YW will be operating as P40TW from Aruba (SA-036) on 7-24
March. Tom will be accompanied by his wife Bonnie, W7BWW and he
plans to be active on all bands SSB, RTTY and CW from the P40L
contest station. QSL direct to home call. [TNX W7YW]
TY - TY4TW, TY5LEO, TY5MR and TY5WP are the callsigns issued to GM4FDM,
K2LEO, IK1PMR and PA3EWP for their 15-30 March activity from Benin
[425DXN 769]. Teir equipment now includes two amplifiers and a
           Spiderbeam for 20, 17, 15, 12 and 10 metres, in addition to
monobanders for 160, 80, 40 and 30 metres. Propagation predictions
and other information can be found at
           www.ik1pmr.com/dx-peditions/ty/ [TNX IK1PMR]
UR_ant - Dmitry, UR8UC will operate CW, SSB and digital modes as either
EM1UC and EM1U from Akademik Vernadsky Station (UR-01 for the
Antarctica Award) on Galindez Island (AN-006), Antarctica until
           February 2007. [TNX UT7UA]
VK9_ni - The Oceania Amateur Radio DX Group Inc (http://odxg.org/) are
planning to operate on 160-6 metres CW, SSB and RTTY as VI9NI from
Norfolk Island (OC-005) from 25 May until 20 June as part of the
commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the landing of the HMS
Bounty mutineers. It is possible to accommodate extra operators for
various times during this month long operation, thos who are
interested in participating in this activity are invited to contact
vi9ni@westnet.com.au; donations to help offset the cost of
freighting all the equipment are also being sought. [TNX VK4FW]
W - Look for Wade, AA8LL/4 and Liz, K8LIZ/4 to operate holiday style
(on 10-40 metres SSB and possibly CW and RTTY) from Cedar Key
(NA-076) from around 21 UTC on 3-5 March. QSL via home calls,
direct or bureau. [TNX The Daily DX]
XE - XE7T is the special callsign that has been issued for the ARRL DX
SSB Contest to the Hermosillo Contest Group, a group of amateurs
from Hermosillo, Mexico who will have their first experience at a
major contest. Special effort will be made on top band. QSL via
           N7BXX. [TNX N7DD]

PACIFIC TRIP ---> Bernhard, DL2GAC is once again going to the Pacific. He
will operate as H44MS from the Solomon Islands on 4-12 March and then as
P29VMS from Papua New Guinea until late March or early April. He plans to be
active from a few IOTA groups while in PNG, including Bougainville Island
(OC-135), the Shortland Islands (OC-162) and possibly others. QSL via DL2GAC.
