5H       - 5H0RS is the callsign  issued to Sigfrido,  7Q7RS [425DXN 829].  He
           will be working in the Dodoma Region of Tanzania for one year.  QSL
           via IT9YVO.
6O       - Filip, ON4TA  is active  as 6O0F  from Puntland,  Somalia until  18
           April. He planned to operate SSB  on 20, 17, 15,  12 and 10  metres
           during his spare time. QSL via home call, direct or bureau.
BY       - A large group of operators from the Zhuhai Polytechnic College  ARC
           will be active as BY7KPI from  Huangmao (AS-131) from around 6  UTC
           on 14 April until around 8  UTC on the 15th.  They plan to  operate
           SSB and RTTY  on 40, 20,  15 and 10  metres. QSL  via BY7KPI.  [TNX

BY       - Look  for  BD1DRJ/3,  BD3APX/3  and  BD3AEO/3  to  be  active  from
           Shijiutuo Island (AS-134) on 21-22 April.  They plan to operate  CW
           and SSB on  40, 20,  15 and  10 metres.  QSL via  home calls.  [TNX

I        - The third edition of the Mediterraneo DX Club's Members Trophy will
           take place on 20-22 April. The  MDXC HQ station IQ8MD plus  several
           special event stations  are expected to  participate in the  event:
           4M0R, 4X0MDC,  EB8MDC,  II0MDC,  II9MDC,  IO0MDC,  IO1MDC,  IO2MDC,
           IO3MDC, IO9MDC,  IR0MDC, IR2MDC,  IR3MDC, IR8MDC,  IS0MDC,  IU0MDC,
           IU9MDC, SX1MDC. All of the  QSOs made with  these stations will  be
           confirmed automatically via the bureau.  Direct requests should  be
           sent to  the Members  Trophy  Manager, Giuliano  Mondini  (IK2VUC).

I        - Special station I0SPQR will be active  on all bands on 20-22  April
           to celebrate the 2760th anniversary of the foundation of Rome.  QSL

JD1_oga  - Skip, JE2HCJ will operate as JE2HCJ/JD1 from the Ogasawara  Islands
           between 16 and 25 April. He will be  QRV with a long wire on  6-160
           metres, mainly on CW on the low bands. QSL via home call. [TNX  The

KH8_si   - The N8S team on Swains Island expects to go QRT around 18-19 UTC on
           15 April.  The  logsearch on  the  expedition's  website  has  been
           disabled for  a  few  days  because  of  traffic  overload.  Go  to
           http://logsearch.de/ instead, and use the  "N8S Log search"  button
           on the left menu.  At 1.35 UTC  on 13 April  N8S had logged  97,127
           QSOs (chapeau!).
OD       - Paulo, CT1EFS is currently in Shama, Lebanon and will remain  there
           until early June. He is waiting for the authorization to operate as
           OD5/CT1EFS, and  plans are  to be  active daily  on 15,  17 and  20
           metres (possibily 40  metres as well)  SSB and  CW starting  around
           16.30 UTC. [TNX CT1END]
OH       - OH6LI, OH3BHL and other  Finnish operators will  be active as  OH3I
           from either Parainen or Nauvo Island (EU-096) on 21-22 April.  They
           plan to operate  CW, SSB and  digital modes on  40, 30,  20 and  17
           metres with 2-3  stations, amplifiers  and good  antennas. QSL  via

OZ       - Tom, DL4VM will be  active as OZ/DL4VM  from Samso Island  (EU-172)
           from 21 April to 5 May. He will operate QRP on 40, 20 and 15 metres
           CW only. QSL via home call. [TNX www.rsgbiota.org]
SU       - Special event station SU8DRM will be  activated on 14-17 April  for
           the Regional Conference on "Disaster: Relief and Management" to  be
           held in Alexandria, Egypt. QSL via SU1KM (direct only).
TA       - TA1HZ and  TA2RX  will  operate  as  TC57ALAY  on  21-25  April  in
           remembrance of  the  role played  by  the  57th  Infantry  Regiment
           ("Alay") of the Turkish Fifth Army during the Dardanelles  Campaign
           (Canakkale Savaslari) in 1915. Expect activity on 40 and 20  metres
           SSB. QSL via TA1HZ. [TNX TA1HZ]
TK       - Laci/HA0HW, Tomi/HA4DX, Geza/HA4XG, Ivan/LZ1PJ and Valya/LZ5AV will
           be active  as TK/homecall  from Corsica  (EU-014, Grid  JN43qa)  on
           21-28 April.  They will  operate on  the  HF bands  (160-10  metres
           mainly CW, with some SSB, RTTY and PSK31 as well) and VHF. QSL  via

VE       - Igor, VA3YDX will operate from Manitoulin  Island (CIsA ON-001)  on
           21-22 April during the Ontario QSO Party. QSL via home call (direct

VP5      - Fred, PY2XB will active as VP5/PY2XB from Providenciales  (NA-002),
           Caicos Islands from  19 April trhough  3 May.  He plans  to put  an
           emphasis on 160. 80 and 40 metres, as well on 30, 17 and 12  metres
           and digital modes (BPSK31 and RTTY). He will also have a CW  beacon
           on   50097    kHz.   On-line    logs   will    be   available    at

YB       - Hotang, YC0IEM will operate as YC0IEM/4 from Bangka Island (OC-144)

9Q5MO ---> This Otto Mayer, DK3MO (QSL via DF9TA), who operates from  Bukavu,
Democratic Republic of Congo. Nowadays the 9Q5 prefix is used exclusively for
the Province Orientale, while Bakavu is  located in the Province of  Sud-Kivu
(9Q6 call area). Philippe, 9Q1TB says that the only four properly  authorized
amateur radio operators are 9Q1D, 9Q1EK, 9Q1NT and himself. [TNX The Daily DX

CQ DX  MARATHON  ---> The  CQ  DX  Marathon is  a  year-long  DX  hunt,  with
participants competing to see who can  work the greatest number of  countries
("entities") and CQ zones over the course of a full year, then starting again
at zero  at the  beginning of  the next  year. For  2006, the  winner in  the
Unlimited Class is  Pete Meyer, N0FW  (286 countries and  all 40 zones).  The
Formula class winner was Drago, T94GB  (193 countries and 35 zones using  100
watts and wire antennas). For 2007,  the WARC bands  are now permitted.  This
year's Marathon began at 00.00 UTC on 1 January and will end at 23.59 UTC  on
31 December.  Complete  rules and  submission  information can  be  found  at

LOTW ---> Henrik, OZ6TL reports that all of the QSOs he made as either ZK1TLA
(1999-2005) and E51TLA (2006) have been uploaded to LoTW.

QSL AS-148 ---> Rocky, HL1VAU reports  that the QSL cards  for the 1-3  March
activity from  Sonyu  Island have  been  received from  the  printer.  Rocky,
Han/DS2GOO and Ryou/DS4NYE  are processing direct  requests received so  far.
They made more than 2,300 QSOs, the main part  of them on the WARC bands,  in
20 hours.

QSL VIA EA7FTR ---> Francisco is the  QSL manager for more than 130  stations

UKRAINIAN CONTEST  CLUB --->  The 17th  Meeting  organized by  the  Ukrainian
Contest  Club  (http://www.ucc.zp.ua)  will  take  place  on  18-20  May   at

WARD AWARD --->  The WARD (World  Amateur Radio Day)  Award commemorates  the
World Amateur Radio Day celebrated by IARU  on 18 April each year. The  award
is sponsored by  MK QTC (the  Polish Amateur Radio  Journal) with the  Polish
Amateur Radio Union's support, and it is issued to licenced amateurs and SWLs
for contacts  made/heard  between 00.00  and  23.59 UTC  on  18  April.  Full
