To commemorate the sinking of Royal Mail Ship Leinster during World War I (10 October 1918), special callsign EI100MCV will be active between 1 January and 31 December, with particular activity in the weeks around the date of 10 October. This was, and still is, the single largest loss of life in the Irish sea with a total of 567 people lost.
